ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT FOR NEW TERMINAL AT NEW ORLEANS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
KENNER, LOUISIANA
Gaea Consultants provided multiple services to support the completion of Encroachment Plans and NEPA documentation for an Environmental Assessment of a proposed development of a new terminal at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. Gaea evaluated the proposed action and each reasonable alternative for effects on natural and beneficial floodplain values, including encroachment, significant encroachment, and potential measures to minimize potential harm. Gaea also addressed the presence of wetlands and threatened or endangered species and investigated the water quality in the areas of each project alternative relative to the encroachment analysis. For the second supplemental report, Gaea analyzed and reported the effects of a modification to the design on floodplains.
